HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY SESSIONS AT IWA WWC BEIJING 2006
At the Beijing World Water Congress in 2006, several sessions were organised by members of our group. These include:
- Tourism, Recreation and Health - The Role of Water and Sanitation. Let the Games Begin!;
- WHO - Guidelines for the Safe Use of Waste Water, Excreta and Greywater in Agriculture and Aquaculture;
- WHO Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage;
- WHO - Water Safety Plans

HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY (WATERMICRO) 2005
This biennial HRWM group symposium (Watermicro 2005) was held at September 4-9, 2005 in Swansea, UK. Papers from this conference are published in a special issue of Water, Science and Technology.
HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY SESSIONS AT IWA MARRAKECH 2004
The Group was involved in the IWA World Water Congress in Marrakesh and a number of presentations and workshops were of particular interest to Group Members. Workshops were: Human Health in Water Resources Development and Management; The Global Future of Water Quality and Health; Cryptosporidium genotyping; Household Water Treatment in Developing Countries - Evidence from the Field. HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY 2003
The group organised the biennial conference in September 2003 in Cape Town. Selected proceedings of the 12th International Symposium on Health-related Water Microbiology are published by IWA. You can find them here
HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY SYMPOSIUM AT IWA MELBOURNE 2002
The Health Related Water Microbiology Symposium was held as part of this World Water Congress, April 2002; in Melbourne. Selected papers are published in a special issue of Water, Science and Technology.
HEALTH RELATED WATER MICROBIOLOGY SESSIONS AT THE 2ND WORLD WATER CONGRESS, BERLIN, 2001
At the 2nd IWA World Water Congress in Berlin in 2001, several sessions were held with material from/related to our group. Topics included: pathogens in drinking water and microbial surveillance; Cryptosporidium; Cryptosporidium methods and general microbiology; water and wastewater disinfection; and disinfection of distribution networks.
